To celebrate the life, achievements, and survival of Major Darren R. Baldwin , a hometown commemoration to honor the Wounded Warrior on September 11, 2010 at 1:00 pm . This event is hosted by the Special Forces Green Beret Foundation.

On August 4, 2010 at Fort Bragg , NC , Major Darren R. Baldwin will receive the Purple Heart for his combat service in The Global War on Terrorism, Operation Iraqi Freedom, wounds received in 2005 . To celebrate the life, achievements, and survival of Major Darren R. Baldwin , a hometown commemoration to honor the Wounded Warrior on September 11, 2010 at 1:00 pm . This afternoon ceremony , located at Worthington Christian Church in his childhood hometown of Worthington , will honor Major Baldwin 's belated receipt of his Purple Heart, also with the Military Order of the Purple Heart Department of Ohio Commander , officers, and fellow members and veterans of all wars and branches. Major Baldwin continues his active duty military service to our country. The celebration and remembrance includes all current and former U.S. Armed Forces and to remember all those who were lost on September 11 th, 2001 . As the host organization, the Green Beret Foundation hopes to raise support to strengthen their mission of supporting America 's Wounded Warriors such as Major Baldwin
